A DREAM ON WHEELS: THE FOOD TRUCK OF THE “RAGAZZI SPECIALI”
There are deliveries that carry a value far beyond the vehicle itself. Such is the case of the latest milestone achieved by the association Ragazzi Speciali Onlus, which has just celebrated its twentieth anniversary with a unique gift: a food truck featuring Conserveria products. Conserveria is the food laboratory where, for the past ten years, young people with autism have been transforming agricultural surplus into simple, authentic foods that enhance the land without waste.
A PROJECT THAT GROWS EVERY DAY
Conserveria is much more than a workshop: it is a place of inclusion and professional training, where young people learn a trade, develop skills, and feel part of a concrete project. With the food truck, this mission steps outside the lab’s walls to reach markets, squares, schools, and events, bringing along preserves with authentic flavor and a message of great social value.
As president Sara Rapini explains: “We are here to collect our dream. It will not only be a means of transporting our products, but also a message of respect—for the environment and for the young people who dedicate themselves with passion every day.”
INCLUSION, SUSTAINABILITY, AND HEALTH AT THE TABLE
The food truck will be a versatile tool to promote products, but above all to tell a story of workplace inclusion, respect for nature, and food education. For years, the association has been working alongside farms to reduce waste and give new life to surplus produce, transforming it into products that embody sustainability.
That’s not all: thanks to the “Health at the Table” project, the vehicle will also enter schools to introduce students to a culture of healthy, simple, and genuine eating. It will be an opportunity to discover how food can be not only nourishing but also a source of education and awareness.
A PROJECT THAT BUILDS CONNECTIONS
The new food truck has already begun making its mark: it has been presented at events that sparked the community’s enthusiasm. From charity tastings to the feast of the Patron Saint of San Giovanni Valdarno—where this four-wheeled laboratory will bring stories, faces, and authentic flavors to the city—every stop will be a tangible opportunity to connect the young people of Conserveria with the public.
For StreetFoody, it is an honor to have contributed to making a dream come true—one that unites products, people, and values. Every vehicle we deliver tells a unique story, and this project offers a concrete demonstration of how work on wheels can become a tool for growth, awareness, and authentic bonds with the community.
