What happened at Sigep 2020?

The 41st edition of Sigep, the International Gelato, Pastry, Bakery and Coffee Exhibition, which brings the best international innovations and numerous experts from all over the world to the Rimini Fair, closes today.

With over 1250 stands arranged in the 129,000 square meters of the fair and guests from 30 countries, Sigep is an event that rewards world excellences, presents new formats, develops global networking, businesses and professionals. Visitors are guided to discover itineraries focused on the 5 main sectors, interconnected in order to unite the world of the dessert in a single global vision.

Also this year we at StreetFoody participated with a stand dedicated to our vehicles: ice cream cart, Ape and Porter Piaggio. Many visitors from all over the world stopped by, attracted by the timeless style of Made in Italy. The beginning of the year, in fact, is the right time to buy a vehicle: in this way it will be ready to start the business in the spring and take full advantage of the summer.

With three models to choose from, each type of customer was able to find the most suitable solution for their type of business: the cart is perfect for businesses or accommodation facilities that want to introduce a space dedicated to ice cream. Ice-cream parlors who want to bring their products around their city and make their name known even outside their neighborhood find an ally in the Ape. While businesses that dream of moving to larger areas and also participate in regional events opt for Porter.

Sigep is not only a moment in which to meet business and entrepreneurs, but it is also an event to get in touch with the latest news and be amazed by innovations. As the famous pastry chef Pierre Hermè told reporters, "Sigep is the best place to see trends and innovations".

Speaking of news, the perfect ice cream for those who want to keep an eye on their fat intake is here: it is a powder product that allows you to prepare an ice cream with triple the proteins, but with a low content of fat.

On the surprises front, Callebaut - with which we also organized the #ChocoDay at our booth this year - left the guests speechless with a huge flow of chocolate. 31 thousand liters of chocolate!
