Open Day 30 September: Slow Food and the project La Buona Strada

StreetFoodyday

The project La Buona Strada, let's start from food was born with the aim of helping the producers of Umbria, Marche, Lazio and Abruzzo, regions that have faced the earthquake of 2016.

The meeting with the farmers, the breeders, and the inhabitants of the the affected area brought out the desire to continue to produce locally and to distribute products in neighboring areas. From here came the idea of creating a campaign based on concrete action, a fundraiser aimed at giving value to the territory and providing support at a very difficult time thanks to an alternative commercial tool: a food truck entrusted to a network of manufacturers and restaurateurs.

"We want to help local producers in this difficult time, and make sure that there is also a work of spreading principles, such as promoting the territory and protecting the environment", says Silvia De Paulis, member of the Slow Food Executive Committee Italy and referent of the project La Buona Strada.

The foodtruck of La Buona Strada will be at the September 30th Open Day to tell more about its history and its campaigns, and to show how the use of a food truck was fundamental for the project.
